Learn how to design, install, and finish a hempcrete insulating wall system which can contribute to the thermal mass of a wall.

What is “hempcrete”? Hempcrete is a bio-composite masonry material formed from hemp aggregate and a hydraulic lime binder. You’ll learn more about this innovative architectural material at the Madison March CSI meeting!

Learning Objectives - At the end of this program, participants will:

• understand the composition and function of Hempcrete in a wall system
• be able to design a framing system to be compatible with Hempcrete
• specify guidelines for the successful installation of Hempcrete on a building
• be able to select proper finishes for a Hempcrete wall system
