Laser Scanning for As-Built Documentation empowers architects to design around existing building conditions, providing easy access to complete and accurate “digital twins” of real-world environments.

Design around existing building conditions with Laser-Accurate As-Built documentation.

This session will describe the technology used to digitally document built structures and objects, and inform attendees how these methods can set up As-Built projects for success.

• Describe how Laser Scanning (LiDar) technology, drones, and Photogrammetry work to document 3D building environments.
• Define the industry standard formats deliverables that can be produced through Laser Scanning & Photogrammetry.
•  Illustrate how to plan a 3D laser scanning deployment to provide complete datasets to assist in the retrofitting, renovation, refurbishment, or reconstruction of an existing space.
• Inform how Laser Scanning & Photogrammetry data is transformed into accurate building models.
