Join us for an evening of discussion on flooring installation failures, and how to avoid them.  We will be joined by experts in the field to provide their insight and experience.  Registration starts at 5:00, presentation begins at 5:30.  The panel includes:

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

Attendees will learn the different types of flooring & installation, what is and isn’t an installation failure, the anatomy of an installation failure, who is responsible and who fixes it and at what cost.

Prerequisite Knowledge:
Knowing something about different types of commercial flooring and substrates, and generally the problems encountered at various times and places.

Learning Objective 1:
Overview of different types of commercial flooring and a brief description of how they are installed.

Learning Objective 2:
Defining what exactly is a flooring failure. (With examples and photos.)

Learning Objective 3:
Causation. Why did the install fail? What are the costs of remediation, who is responsible and who pays.

Learning Objective 4:
What can be done to prevent failures to save time and money in the future utilizing system warranties.

Learning Objective 5:
Understand what proper maintenance is, what are the best practices and why it matters.

This presentation is approved for 1 AIA CEU.
